Artist Residency at University of Southampton
In 2008 Gary won the prestigious Leverhulme Trust award for a twelve month artist residency at the University of Southampton department of Archaeology. It involved a field trip to the Viking Ship Museum at Roskilde and resulted in a large body of work incorporating shipwright techniques and runic style inscriptions.
