The Design Process


The design process can vary depending on the nature or scale of the project in question. For something as architectural as the Memorial to the victims of the Bali bombing in 2002, sketches were worked up to give the client a clear idea of how the design might develop.


Gary Breeze will often work up a drawing and create photomontages so that the client can see the proposal in context.


As the final design needed to be presented to a wide panel including English Heritage and representatives of The Foreign and Commonwealth Office it was necessary to produce an accurate scale model of the site.


Finally a photomontage of the model and actual location photographs were combined to create an accurate representation of the final proposal.
